As it is tradition, the Arts Department has a joint venture with the English Department. We create, investigate, manipulate and thoroughly enjoy bringing to life creatures from the Jurassic, Triassic o Mesozoic Era.
During the Arts classes, 6th Graders created reproductions of distinct dinosaurs, whilst during the English lessons we investigated about the dinosaur in particular.
We grouped up the students according to different categories chosen by them: some gathered according to eating habits (herbivores, carnivores), others classified according to the period in which they lived (Jurassic, Cretaceous) and still a third classification was related to physical characteristics (long necked). We also had a group explaining the evolution!
School authorities, parents, siblings, other subject teachers and some grandparents came and enjoyed this explosion of creativity.
Students explained about their dinosaurs in English, answering questions posed by others and speaking proudly into the microphone when needed.
All in all, this Dinosaur Museum was a tremendous success. If you weren´t able to visit us this year, make it a point to attend next time. You don’t want to miss it!
