A showcase of The Mackay School students' talents

One Day in a Victorian Classroom!

IMG_0268

Today, 7th grade teachers were delighted to see their students’ wonderful drama performances in the classroom! After studying about Victorian Times, a very important period in British History named after Queen Victoria (who was Britain’s Queen from 1837 until 1901), 7th graders were invited to engage in the creative process of writing a theatre script, based on this historical period.

Students chose to be Victorian teachers, wealthy boys, poor working children, cruel Dukes and even members of Scotland Yard, to perform their creations in full costume! Everyone was very surprised with their amazing acting skills and excellent use of English! Congratulations to you all!! Very well done!
